Our History And Philosophy

Lomond Colts were formed in September 2006, the club developed through the philosophy of participation for all, regardless of ability.

As some children dont make the "First Team", or are always on the bench, or worse left out altogether, we as a club made the decision to allow all to participate.

Our philosophy is to have FUN, and pay no attention to any competative scores.

10 children means a new team. Children playing every week.

With the support of the Lomond Centre we integrated a coaching programme for children from as early as three up to under 15 level.

Our classes have grown, with over 296 children a week going through the programme.

The success of our programme can be measured, in that in such a short period we as a club have been awarded a Scottish Football Association Quality Marks.

Our club has now an Adult team, a Girls section, and 13 teams playing evenry week.

The club is about participation and Fun, so its a place where social interaction takes place, qualified coaches produce enjoyable sessions, and our players develop at a pace suited to their own invividual capabilities.
